Note: Membership editing is only available by default with local-managed integrations.
The Edit screen lets you change top-level details about a membership: its name, ID, expiration date, type, and level. Editing individual members on the membership is covered separately.
When available, an Edit button will be visible at the top of the details column on the membership details page.
Editable fields
Membership contact details: name, email, and phone number for the primary member.
Membership ID: the unique identifier for this membership.
Expiration date
Membership name: name of the membership type (e.g., “Family”). Controls access to which specific benefits are available to the membership. See Benefits overview and Guest Passes overview.
Membership level: sub-tier within the type, when your org uses levels (e.g., “Plus”).
Number admitted: total # of people admitted
Number of children: total # of children associated with membership
Why Can’t I Edit My Memberships
The Edit button only appears when at least one of these is true for your organization:
Your org has the MembershipEdit feature enabled, or
Your org is configured as a local-managed integration (not connected to an external membership system).
Sync-managed integrations (ACME, Altru, Tessitura, Centaman, etc.) have editing disabled because changes here would otherwise be overwritten by the next sync.
