PassPlay has several kinds of links that take a member to their membership. You can put these links in your own emails, receipts, or text messages.
Which link to use
Link | Where it takes the member | Where to find it |
FindMy page | Your branded lookup page. The member fills in a short form. | The FindMy button on the Memberships page. |
Wallet card | Adds the membership card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. | The wallet buttons on a membership’s details page. |
Wallet card by membership ID | The same, but built from the ID in your membership system. | You build it. Good for messages sent by your membership system. |
App Connect | Opens the PassPlay app and connects the membership. | The App Connect URL card on a membership’s details page. |
App store | Downloads the PassPlay app. | Below. |
Your organization ID
Some links need your organization ID. This is the long ID at the end of your FindMy page URL, for example 8be4df61-93ca-11d2-aa0d-00e098032b8c. It also shows in the address bar on most admin pages.
FindMy page
https://findmy.passplay.io/{organization ID}This is the safest link to share widely, such as on your website. It works for every member, and the member must enter details that match their membership before PassPlay sends anything.
You can pre-fill the form with the i (membership ID), n (last name), and v (email) query arguments:
https://findmy.passplay.io/{organization ID}?i=PASSPLAY2025&n=Bluth&[email protected]See FindMy for more details.
Wallet card links
https://findmy.passplay.io/pass/{PassPlay membership ID}/apple
https://findmy.passplay.io/pass/{PassPlay membership ID}/googleThese links download the membership card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. To get them, open the membership’s details page and click the Apple Wallet or Google Wallet button to copy the link.
The {PassPlay membership ID} is PassPlay’s own ID for the membership, not the ID from your membership system. Because of this, you usually copy these links from the details page instead of building them.
When the member opens the link, PassPlay shows the membership name and ID, then starts the card download. If the member opens the link again on the same device, PassPlay shows Membership card already added with a link to download the card again.
Wallet card links by membership ID
https://findmy.passplay.io/{organization ID}/pass/{membership ID}
https://findmy.passplay.io/{organization ID}/pass/{membership ID}/apple
https://findmy.passplay.io/{organization ID}/pass/{membership ID}/googleUse these links when you know the ID from your membership system but not PassPlay’s ID. They are a great fit for a merge field in a renewal or purchase confirmation email that your membership system sends.
Without
/appleor/google, the member sees a page with both an Apple Wallet and a Google Wallet button. With
/appleor/google, PassPlay finds the membership and starts that card download.
The {membership ID} must match the membership ID or SystemID of an active membership that is already in PassPlay. If PassPlay cannot find one, it will redirect the member to your FindMy page.
App Connect links
https://passplay.io/appconnect/?orgID={organization ID}&membershipID={membership ID}&email={email}&phone={phone}When a member taps an App Connect link on a phone that has PassPlay installed, the app connects to that membership. The member does not have to type anything.
To get this link, open the membership’s details page and find the App Connect URL card. You can copy the link, or click the QR code to download the QR code image. A member can scan the QR code with their phone camera, which is useful at a membership desk.
PassPlay adds email and phone to the link only when they are on file for the membership. The App Connect link only needs one or the other.
Copy the link from the details page so that these values are correct.
Organization App Connect link
https://passplay.io/appconnect/?orgID={organization ID}Without a membership, the link opens the PassPlay app for your organization.
App store links
These are the links to the shared PassPlay app:
Platform | Link |
iOS |
|
Android |
|
If your organization has its own app, use the store links of your app instead. Invitation emails, FindMy, and the member portal use the links of your organization’s app automatically.
A member must install the app before an App Connect link works.
Invitation emails
The PassPlay invitation email contains the wallet card links for that membership. By default, it also contains the App Connect link and the app store links. You can send an invitation from a membership’s details page. FindMy also sends one after each successful lookup.
Tips
Encode the values. Values in a link must be URL-encoded. For example, an email address that contains
+must use%2Bin its place.Test before you send. Open each link on a phone before you use it in a campaign or template.
